ATI is seeking to hire a Product Engineer for our Specialty Rolled Product business unit. This position reports to the Director, Technology and will have an office location in our Washington, PA facility.

Responsibilities

• Accountability & Ownership of assigned products from inquiry through shipment
• Serves as expert in all facets of assigned products. This includes flow path, manufacturing set ups and controls, specifications, technical characteristics and customer requirements
• Develop, document and implement manufacturing, customer and product trials to continuously improve product attributes, tighten tolerances or reduce cost and flow time
• Interface with customer to improve product, resolve issues and grow our business
• Identify and develop opportunities for new grades / products or alterations of existing grades to meet new customer business specifications and opportunities
• Lead customer qualification programs for new products, customers and applications
• Review customer inquiries to determine capabilities of assigned products to meet the requirements and design and implement a flow path to do this
• Work with the Marketing & Sales to evaluate new customer opportunities and develop a cost competitive

Basic Qualifications

Preferred qualifications

2 years of experience in metallurgical process development or product engineering; OR a MS degree in a field related to titanium metallurgy process development or product engineering
