Overview
We are looking for a creative and technically proficient Associate Engineer to help modify and finalize product layouts per instructions from design and engineering teams. The role involves receiving or creating rough drafts and translating designs into AutoCAD drawings with accurate specifications and features. The position focuses on SolidWorks 3D modeling, AutoCAD 2D experience, and exposure to mechanical and electrical engineering.
Responsibilities
- Use SolidWorks to create 3D models and provide manufacturing drawings; convert concepts into detailed designs.
- Develop product designs and layouts from scratch while aligning with design and safety standards and maintaining basic product structure.
- Present multiple design perspectives through 3D views to help production identify feasible, cost-efficient, and appealing designs.
- Manage multiple projects or tasks simultaneously, maintaining quality.
- Communicate requirements with team members and resolve communication gaps to align design outcomes with expectations.
- Blend aesthetics and engineering technique to achieve desired results within time constraints.
- Ensure accuracy of drawings, mathematics, and other design / engineering concepts.
- Check and assist with assembly of designed products.
- Assist in service and warehouse as needed; complete necessary orders for projects.
Qualifications
Knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD : creating models and manufacturing drawings.Experience with 3D modeling and 2D drafting within mechanical and electrical engineering contexts.Strong drawing, mathematical, and engineering fundamentals.Ability to multitask and maintain quality of work under deadlines.Company
