Senior Municipal Client Portfolio Manager (CPM)
Northern Trust Asset Management (NTAM) is seeking a Senior Municipal Client Portfolio Manager (CPM) to support our Global Fixed Income Team.
The Client Portfolio Manager role at NTAM is designed to both leverage the portfolio management resources of the firm, while serving as the primary portfolio management contact for clients and internal partners. Through successful external engagements, the CPM plays a critical role in both client retention and growth of the business driven by the expansion of current relationships and new business development.
The CPM team is responsible for representing and advocating for our Fixed Income strategies to clients and internal partners by explaining, among other things, investment philosophy, platform, process, and performance. CPMs also play an important role in framing investment capabilities, contributing to thought leadership and innovation, and representing the "voice of the client". Embedded within the Fixed Income investment team, CPMs are the primary investment contact for internal partners and serve as a proxy for portfolio managers with clients. They play an important role in new business efforts, including education of, and partnership with, distribution partners throughout the sales and retention cycle.
