KEY JOB DUTIES
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff regarding procedures utilized in the firm’s bankruptcy practice, including steps in the process, documents, local filing requirements and judicial tendencies
- Provide loan level recommendations as well as ensuring the associated policies and procedures are in compliance with the Federal Bankruptcy Code, local rules, case law, etc.
- Review Bankruptcy filings such as proofs of claim, notices of mortgage payment change, and notices of fees and costs
- Draft pleadings, motions, certifications, objections, orders, memoranda, and letters
- Attend hearings, settlement conferences, and other appearances
- Keep clients apprised of status and developments in cases with appropriate communication via e-mail, telephone, and client systems
- Promptly review and respond to communications received via phone, e-mail, client systems, opposing counsel, court staff, trustees, mediators, etc.
- Escalate matters when necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned

J.D. from ABA-accredited law schoolBar admission in good standing (any state)1+ years’ experience representing secured creditors / mortgage services is preferred, but not requiredBankruptcy or Default Mortgage Industry experience preferred, but not requiredCompetency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and WordBENEFITS :
