This position is a sworn career service position located within the Bureau of Law Enforcement. To be considered for this position, the applicant must have passed the Florida Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission (CJSTC) law enforcement examination or equivalency by the application deadline.
The Organization and Mission : The Florida Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco licenses the manufacture, distribution, sale, and service of alcoholic beverage and tobacco products in Florida, including processing of license applications; collection and auditing of taxes and fees; and enforcement of the laws and regulations governing the alcoholic beverage and tobacco industries, pursuant to Chapters 210, 561-565, 567-569, Florida Statutes. The division's three bureaus—Licensing, Auditing and Enforcement—comprise a team of approximately 330 personnel fulfilling regulatory obligations statewide.
The Work You Will Do : This is an opportunity to serve as a state law enforcement officer in Florida. The Bureau seeks applicants interested in investigating complex crimes while deterring underage access to alcoholic beverages, tobacco and nicotine products. These positions require team members to work some nights and weekends as necessary.
