Administrative Coordinator For Fisheries Bureau
This is an administrative position that will coordinate the Fisheries Bureau's Access Program. The incumbent's primary office will be at the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks headquarters in Jackson; however, frequent travel within the state is expected. The primary duties will include supervision of the boating access and aquatic vegetation programs, overseeing construction projects (boat ramps and piers), aquatic vegetation management, prepare annual budgets, administer grants, and personnel management.
The incumbent should be able to lead a team, problem solve, and communicate well. The ideal candidate will have experience in project management, supervision, and a general knowledge of construction and aquatic vegetation control. Good organizational skills, customer service skills, and computer skills (spreadsheets, presentations, etc.) will be needed.
Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years of experience. Hiring agency preferred qualifications : A Master's Degree with experience in aquatic vegetation identification and control along with being familiar with construction and equipment.
