Overview
Valuations Manager / Director role at PKF O’Connor Davies. The Valuation Services team provides support and consulting services to clients with an emphasis on business valuation, including valuations of closely held companies, intangible assets, derivatives, and other assets / liabilities for tax and financial statement reporting, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, and other purposes.
Responsibilities
- Overall daily management of engagements
- Design scope of work for engagements
- Ensure quality control and accuracy of client deliverables
- Develop and maintain sustainable client and referral relationships
- Develop complex financial analyses and financial models
- Review and analyze client financial data, market data, industry data, and economic data
- Improve internal processes, procedures, policies, analyses, and models
- Prepare and review valuation analyses and reports of businesses and equity interests for tax and regulatory compliance, restructuring and reorganization, strategic planning, transaction advisory, and litigation purposes
- Actively pursue and assist in business development efforts, including collaboration with other PKFOD practices
- Supervise, mentor, and develop staff; provide performance feedback and training
- Communicate the status of engagements and deliverables on a regular basis
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related fieldASA and / or CFA designation (or significant progress toward the designation and expected to be obtained within 2 years) and / or CPA / ABV designation6+ years of business valuation experience (tax, transactional, litigation) with a Big 4, Top 20 public accounting and advisory firm, or national valuation firmAbility to work independently on multiple engagements with competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong analytical and financial modeling skillsStrong knowledge of corporate finance and financial accountingExperience working with Capital IQProven ability to effectively interact with senior client personnel and key decision-makersAbility to recognize opportunities for other advisory and compliance servicesTestifying experience on valuation matters is a plusAbility to work additional hours as needed to meet client deliverablesLocal travel to client locations and / or other PKFOD offices may be requiredCompensation & Benefits
