Building Maintenance And Pool / Spa Technician

The building Maintenance and pool / spa technician is responsible for buildings and pool / spa maintenance daily and helping out with all maintenance needs within the department. S / he will help to create a positive team environment, as well as achieving optimum performance. The building maintenance / Pool and Spa technician will assist with maintaining the AAA Four Diamond standards.

Responsibilities
Ensures the overall chemical safety and cleanliness of all pool and spas
Ensures all building maintenance tasks and work orders are complete including commercial kitchens, bathrooms etc...
Assists with daily maintenance duties
Offers expertise and knowledge to the team
Maintains maintenance schedules, schedules and oversees vendor work, and performs all in house repairs and maintenance tasks.
Provides prompt follow-up to all guest, owner and associate concerns
Instills a calm, organized approach in all stressful situations
Maintains a safe and pleasant work environment
Maintains a strong morale and spirit throughout team
Works collaboratively with multiple resort departments
Assists in janitorial duties including window cleaning, and dusting (including high locations)
Operates powered equipment
Utilizes electronic work order system
Shovels snow from walkways as needed using ice melt or cinder as needed
Maintains and repairs tools and equipment
Provides general resort information for guests
Offers warm and sincere welcome / farewell for all guests of Sunriver Resort as s / he may encounter guests during his / her daily duties
Interacts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information
Always maintains a professional demeanor and attitude
Communicates all pertinent information to the Caldera springs team
Maintains constant awareness of safety issues.
Acts with responsibility towards all company property, supplies and equipment.
Maintains a professional appearance. Follows all Caldera Springs / Sunriver Resort dress code standards.
Remains alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and colleagues at all times.
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Have 5 years' experience in building / kitchen maintenance
Must be able to get CPO certified within 6 months of hiring
Have a working knowledge of buildings and pool / spas
Prior hospitality experience preferred
Must have valid Oregon Driver's license and meet company driving standards
Must be proactive
Must have a positive attitude
Must be able to act with a high level of autonomy
Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions (rain, sleet, ice, snow and heat)
Ability to work a flexible schedule that will include evenings, weekends and some holidays
Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, cold & heat);
Must be able to stand & walk throughout the day, including on uneven surfaces;
Must be able to frequently lift, push, pull & carry up to 25 lbs, and occasionally up to 75 lbs;
Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel & twist on an frequent basis, sometimes for prolonged periods;
Must be able to climb ladders and climb into and out of mobile equipment on a frequent basis;
Will work evenings and weekends
