Role Summary
The Sr. VP, Chief Innovation Officer (CINO) is responsible for shaping and executing HiLabs’s innovation strategy, ideation pipelines, and new venture incubation. This role will :
- Lead ideation, R&D, prototyping, and go-to-market testing for new products, services, or business lines
- Evaluate technology trends, emerging markets, and disruptions to inform HiLabs’s strategic direction
- Partner with product, engineering, marketing and operations to transition prototypes to scalable offerings
- Build, mentor, and lead cross-functional innovation teams (internal and external)
- Manage innovation portfolio — prioritization, resource allocation, metrics, ROI, risk management
- Drive external collaborations : partnerships, university / research labs, startups, venture capital, grants
- Serve as a thought leader and evangelist for innovation within and outside the company
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a multi-year innovation roadmap aligned with corporate goalsOversee ideation programs (e.g., hackathons, challenge grants) and funnel managementProvide governance and oversight of innovation investments, balancing risk vs. potential rewardMonitor metrics and KPIs (e.g. pipeline conversion rates, revenue from new initiatives, time to market)Partner with product, engineering, operations leaders to embed innovation processes into core functionsBuild and lead a high-performing team, including hiring, setting goals, coaching, performance reviewsRepresent HiLabs at conferences, external panels, and in media / publicationsContinuously scan the external environment (technology, market, regulation) and translate into internal opportunitiesQualifications / Experience
Advanced degree (MBA, MS, PhD) or equivalent in technology, business, or related field15+ years of experience in innovation leadership, R&D, new business development, or corporate venturingTrack record of launching successful new products / businesses with measurable impactStrong ability to bridge strategy, technology, and executionExperience leading cross-functional teams and influencing senior stakeholdersExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalComfortable in ambiguity and rapid changeExperience managing budgets, P&L, or investment portfolios#J-18808-Ljbffr
