Reports to : Quality System Manager
Responsibilities
Assist with design transfer to manufacturing, including quality control activities from production processes to shipment of the final product.Provide support for the supplier management program by evaluating suppliers, monitoring supplier quality issues, coordinating failure investigations on time, and creating reports on supplier performance.Participate in risk management meetings and related activities such as verification of risk mitigation implementation in products and processes.Provides expertise and guidance in interpreting policies, regulatory and / or governmental regulations, and internal regulations to assure compliance.Develop content and deliver training for company-wide annual GMP & zoning training, and companywide allergen training.Train cross-functional team on CCP’s and OPRP’s.Perform routine internal inspections (light intensity, glass & brittle plastic inspection) & audits.Track & trend internal GMP scores and present them during production hurdles and management review meetings.Follow up with process owners on timely closure of action items.Escalate critical and major findings within the audit programs to the Quality leadership.Coordinate annual review & reassessment of PRP’s.Maintain the deviation log to ensure all corrective actions are closed on time.Maintain a change control log to ensure all potential changes that could affect food safety are captured & hazards controlled.Attend third-party and client audits, follow up, and ensure timely responses for corrective actions.Provide support to the manufacturing facility team in helping them manage non-conformance issues, corrective action, closure of CAR, and preventive actions.Provides support for the suppliers and other audit programs.Writing work instructions and SOP.Conduct training for SOPs &WI’s.Create and update monitoring forms as required.Participate in change management initiatives.Validation and verification of new products, lines, and equipment.Compliance with all rules & policies regarding health safety, occupational safety, environmental safety, food safety, legal regulations, company requirements, etc.Compliance with the Company's Integrated Management Systems which includes, but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety & GMP.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in food science or a related field is required3+ years of experience in a QA / QC position in a manufacturing environment is requiredExperience in food and beverage manufacturing is an assetSkill in organization, analysis, time management, prioritization, and the ability to meet deadlines for multiple tasksProficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), and instructional softwareCommitment to continuous improvement and quality of support and serviceGood interpersonal skills and communication skills to interact with all levels of managementAble to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
