Support the enablement of AbbVie's Pipeline for Combination Product Development and Drug Delivery as a technical project manager in the global organization. The Project Manager (PM) works independently with the cross-functional team to lead development projects and area goals. Generate project timeline and proposals and lead those efforts. Act as the lead scientific engineering project manager for area of expertise and critically evaluate relevant regulatory requirements and integrate this into development programs. The project manager ensures compliance with all relevant AbbVie policies, procedures and objectives. The PM manages supplier and business partner interfaces to ensure the business partners achieve efficient and effective deliverables. The project manager provides solutions-based expertise both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

• Manage the execution of project(s) across the CPD-DD organization and align cross-functional resources
• Develop realistic cross functional project plans with input from other functions, e.g., Quality and Regulatory
• Utilize the relevant project management tools for project planning, monitoring, and reporting to maintain project budgets and timelines
• Demonstrate the ability to resolve key project hurdles and assumptions by effectively utilizing available information and technical expertise
• Proactively seek out new information in the literature and project management best practices and incorporate this into individual project(s) as well as the overall program
• Seize opportunities to pursue project relevant leads that are in line with the group's strategy.
• Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding code of conduct, safety, appropriate handling of materials, controlled drug and radioactive compounds, GxP compliance, and animal care where applicable
• May mentor / supervise a team of one or more and guide and evaluate the performance of those individuals; is accountable for the effective performance of the team / individuals
• Set project milestones and report progress accordingly. Provide project management support for and guide the efforts of third-party organizations (suppliers, contractors, etc.) to enable achievement of shared milestones
• Demonstrate the ability to resolve key project hurdles and assumptions by effectively utilizing available information and aligning with the project technical lead
