Quality Control Clerk
Under general supervision of a manager, a Quality Control (QC) Clerk in warehouse operations performs checks or audits of production work performed in the Hospital, Manufacturing, Rx / Retail and Controls Substance Departments as well as the Sort / Shipping Departments / PID using a variety of methods and processes. Primary Accountabilities include : maintaining a clear understanding of all standard operating procedures and related responsibilities within the QC Department, performing quality checks and fulfilling collected / submitted QC labeled iTag products, performing quality checks of randomly selected totes, boxes and pallets of processed products to confirm accuracy, utilizing the QC program in Informix, individually scanning each iTag, checking, documenting and correcting for errors, effectively managing daily QC Error Sheets, and effectively documenting and reporting all errors to the QC manager and the supervisor of the area.
Additional responsibilities include : meeting daily QC productivity numbers, having a good understanding of SOPs of the assigned department / PID, maintaining professionalism at all times, escalating significant events (i.e., Diversion, Adverse Events, Informix slow down, etc.), following all safety and security rules, and keeping work area clean and organized.
Required qualifications include : a high school diploma (or its equivalent) required, 1-3 years related work experience in a warehouse or production job, preferably within the company; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the responsibilities of this position, legally authorized to work in the U.S., proficient in math; able to accurately enter numeric data using a 10-keypad, ability to work independently as well as in a team environment; must possess good interpersonal skills, able to follow standard operation and safety procedures, strong ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a timely and professional manner, proven detail orientation and organizational skills, able to work under time pressure and meet production goals; able to work more than 8 hours per day (over-time) as needed, able to work in an environment that is not climate controlled, and able to handle hazardous waste materials with appropriate safety measures.
Physical demands include : use hands to handle objects, regularly reach with hands or arms, regularly talk or hear and read instructions, regularly stand, kneel, or stoop and lift 20 pounds, and regularly view items at a close range.
