POSITION SUMMARY : Automation Technician II will work as part of a team to support automation installation, setup, repair, and maintenance in a fast-paced injection-molding environment. The role involves understanding the operation, repair, and maintenance of robotics, secondary automated operations, and support equipment.
FUNCTIONS :
- Install new or existing automation equipment to cells or standalone operations, ensuring smooth operation according to engineering and management requirements.
- Use moving and leveling equipment for large automation installations.
- Follow instructions from senior automation personnel for setup, changeover, and maintenance.
- Understand setup and operation of robotics, automation cells, and standalone equipment.
- Perform equipment changeovers for multiple product lines, following verbal and written instructions.
- Apply troubleshooting and repair skills, including electrical and electronic diagnostics using multi-meters, electrical testing devices, and thermal testing equipment.
- Understand PLC inputs, outputs, and logic (sourcing and sinking), with a basic knowledge of vision systems.
- Recognize personal skill limits and seek assistance from Technician III when needed.
- Fabricate guards and chutes using Lexan, and operate hand tools, saws, milling machines, lathes, and grinders.
- Perform mechanical repairs, modifications, and revisions following senior personnel instructions.
- Understand vibratory action of parts and set up vibratory bowls properly.
- Conduct planned maintenance, including lubrication and oiling as required.
Requirements :
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.1-2 years of demonstrated experience in repairing and maintaining computer-controlled systems and robotics.Knowledge of electronics, mechanics, and components.J-18808-Ljbffr
