Lead the Build : Industrial Automation Controls Electrician Lead
Picture your day at Axis Automation : you arrive to a buzzing shop floor where custom machines are taking shape. You kick off with a quick stand-up, align your electrical build team on priorities, review panel layouts, and open issues. By mid-morning you’re knee‑deep in wiring a custom control panel, tracing circuits against schematics and customer documentation. After lunch, you troubleshoot a field I / O fault on a test stand, record a design update, and sync with mechanical and software peers. You wrap the day by mentoring a new hire on best‑practice wire routing and verifying the next build is on schedule.

What You’ll Lead
- Guide and coach electrical assemblers across multiple concurrent projects.
- Own schedule adherence for electrical builds and communicate status and risks.
- Fabricate and wire custom control panels and machine electrical systems per design / spec.
- Interpret electrical schematics and customer docs to execute builds accurately.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical issues quickly and safely.
- Capture design changes and communicate updates throughout the build lifecycle.
- Drive quality, cost control, and customer satisfaction on every project.
- Partner with cross-functional teams from design through on-site install and support.
- Participate in on-site installations and field support as needed.

Qualifications
4+ years wiring custom automated machinery or industrial equipment.Demonstrated leadership coordinating a build team.Expert troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Strong safety mindset and attention to detail.Fluent with electrical schematics and complex mechanical assemblies.Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, OneNote).Clear communicator, self-directed, and collaborative.Travel up to 20% (local, national, international).Core Proficiencies
