Summary of Position :
Provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all of our guests. Each servers primary objective is to show our guests such a marvelous time, they will want to return again and again.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Welcome and greet guests within 30 seconds. Make all of our guests feel comfortable and let them know youre there to personally take care of themIntroduce yourselfInform guests of specials and menu changesMake recommendations you genuinely feel your guest will enjoyAnswer questions about our food, beverages, and other restaurant functions and servicesTake food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders into the micros system, double-check to ensure accuracy, which relays orders to the kitchen and bar.Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen and bar to guests in a timely manner (1-minute drink orders)Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by the service station assignmentAnticipated the guests' needs i.e. napkins, drink refills, appetizer platesBuild RegularsMaintain clean service areas and pre bus tablesMonitor and observe guests' dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requestsPrepare final bill, present the check to the guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make a change if applicableWhen dropping check, dont travel too far, check back asapBe ready and willing to assist fellow servers as situations ariseBe ready and willing to assist the bus person / hostess with clearing and resetting tablesThank guests for their visit and invite them to returnBe available to fill in as needed to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisorQualifications :
Minimum 1 year of service experienceBe able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guestsMust have a basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functionsPossess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a micros systemBe able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours)Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds
