job_description.job_card.job_descriptionPrepare and update maintenance activities, plans and schedules Determine maintenance activities and their priorities Assign work orders to the maintenance team, track status / closure of work orders and monitor utilization of the maintenance team Ensure maintenance activities are properly planned and executed, considering the production schedule and available resources Coordinate activities with the operations team and other personnel performing maintenance at the site Help establish criteria for a hierarchy of when different types of problems must be addressed (priority matrix) Enter scheduling / work order information into the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) Monitor the effectiveness of the maintenance plan / schedule Operate spare parts cage and maintain spare parts inventory; identify spare parts inventory demand, establish min / max levels and order / receive spare parts Ensure adequate spare parts are on hand and accurately captured in CMMS Maintain listing of suppliers and contact information Ensure incoming orders are accurate; reconcile parts ordered to parts received Review / approve spare part invoices Disburse spare parts (including kitting parts) for work to be performed Maintain spare parts cage in an organized manner and safeguard parts Ensure warranty information is set up within CMMS upon initial contract establishment; maintain equipment in accordance with warranty agreements including use of spare parts Perform cycle counts or inventory counts on a predefined regular basis Identify obsolete inventory and dispose of it properly High school diploma 3+ years of maintenance planning / scheduling and inventory management experience, preferably in food manufacturing and distribution operations or similar Prior experience using CMMS Knowledge of effective scheduling, estimating, and workflow processes in a maintenance environment Ability to plan and schedule work and maintain accurate inventory records Strong interpersonal skills; team-oriented with ability to work independently Good written and verbal communication skills Excellent problem-solving and multitasking abilities Availability for on-call support and shift flexibility as needed; ability to support multiple shifts Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills 5+ years of maintenance planning / scheduling and inventory management experience in food manufacturing and distribution Associate degree or equivalent work experience; certified maintenance technician Experience in procurement Knowledge of leading practices in maintenance planning / scheduling and spare parts inventory management Minimum Years Of Experience : 3 Travel Requirements : 10% Required Level Of Education : High School Diploma Preferred Level Of Education : Associate's Degree Major / Concentration : Experience in maintenance planning and buying; Bachelor's Degree in relevant field preferred, Mechanical Seniority level : Mid-Senior level Employment type : Full-time Job function : Management and Manufacturing Industries : Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain and Storage
Overview
Senior MRO Maintenance Planner role at Chick-fil-A Supply. Reports to the Maintenance Manager and, with the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Supervisor, is responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance activities for the CFA Supply maintenance team at the Distribution Center (DC) in Elsmere, KY. Also manages the spare parts cage, orders parts, receives and disburses parts, and maintains appropriate spare parts inventory levels to minimize downtime when maintenance is required.
