Job Description
The primary focus of this position is to oversee processing of food manufacturing operations to meet company standards for food safety, quality and production protocols.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the processing of the food manufacturing for the company -
- Participate in annual GMP Training
- Oversees the processing of food manufacturing
- HRIS management – timecard, vacation, sick pay approvals, etc.
- Monitor and prioritize workflow of production to meet deadlines
- Provide training and direction to new hires
- Production o Follow standards of quality and food safety protocols
- Follow all SOP procedures and documentation
- Follow corrective and preventative actions, determine and implement appropriate corrective action and complete C&C Reports and email to Quality Office.
- Verify Preparation Scale & Packing Scales daily using certified weights
- Notify Maintenance Manager of any equipment malfunctions or damage
- Cleaning and sanitizing of all equipment in production area
- Verify monitoring activities assigned
- Back up operators as needed
- Additional responsibilities as required
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Proven food manufacturing experience in a production supervisor or similar role for at least 3-5 years.Have the ability to make independent judgment calls relating to areas of responsibility with little supervisionGood interpersonal & communication skills (oral and written) and ability to interact and communicate effectively with employees at all levelsAble to follow all HACCP policies and guidelinesKnowledgeable of CCPs & CQPsKnowledgeable of SSOPsThe ability to understand and monitor what task are needed to maintain quality and safety in the production processIf interested, please email your full resume to rob@foodemployment.com or call 815.520.8401 for more information.
