Responsibilities
The Director, Access is a member of the Value and Evidence Team responsible for driving the high-quality technical execution of market access projects. The Director of Access plays a critical role in supporting key client initiatives, developing and executing reimbursement strategies. The Director will :
Independently manage the technical execution of AESARA’s projects with timely and high-quality deliverablesProvide strategic direction to clientsLead projects effectively to meet timelines and budgetWork collaboratively with colleagues in the Value & Evidence team and with the other functionsAct as a mentor for junior colleaguesIdentify opportunities, processes and methods to improve effectiveness and / or efficiency of the Value Evidence Team.Develop AESARA’s organization by providing input into the building and shaping of the organization.Lead the execution of client market access initiatives to develop strategies that enhance product access and reimbursement.Conduct in-depth market access research, providing strategic insights to support commercialization efforts.Collaborate with clinical teams to define evidence-generation strategies that align with market access objectives.Develop and manage reimbursement materials, tools, and communication strategies to support internal and external stakeholders.Educate internal teams on evolving market access trends, policies, and reimbursement changes.Monitor the reimbursement landscape, assess potential impacts, and develop action plans to address market dynamics.Qualifications
Graduate level education and 8-10 years relevant experience in biotech and / or pharmaceutical industryExperience of working in an above country role / Global team in the market access space with knowledge of international health care systemsProven technical capability to conduct and deliver high quality Market Access research (qualitative and quantitative)Proven experience in market access, pricing and reimbursement and health policy strategyAbility to deliver impactful value & access input and insight across the development and commercialization lifecycleDemonstrated experience in development and execution of Access deliverables such as, access landscape assessments, payer value stories, objection handlers, access & pricing strategies, launch sequence models, value dossiers and / or value communications materialsExpertise in the development of evidence-based value propositions, clinical development value measurement strategies, value evidence generation plans and / or a variety of European HTA, price & reimbursement processesExpertise in the development and implementation of value-based- agreements across different payer- and health care systemsSolid business background enabling the assessment competitive impact on payer strategies and the ability to challenge strategy and tacticsAbility to work under pressure, to take accountability for business challenges, think strategically and tackle complex problemsAbility to understand, synthesize and communicate research to a variety of stakeholdersSolid track record of managing client relationshipsAdept in producing clear and professional MS suite outputs (PowerPoint, Excel).Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong collaborator, a self-starter and independent thinkerAn entrepreneurial mindset that is flexible, willing to problem solve and stretch out of comfort zonesA critical thinker, able to challenge conventional thinking and solve complex problemsPrepared to work in a flexible, fast-moving, timeline-oriented environmentExemplary professional values and behaviours, aligned to the AESARA values :Trusted : We listen, act, and deliver for our clients and each other
