Responsibilities / Position Overview
We are seeking intellectually curious, team-oriented individuals eager to step into a leadership role as Senior Vice President with a focus on market access, helping biopharma clients navigate complex challenges to bring innovative technologies to market and patients in need. In this leadership role, the SVP will provide company, people, project, and business development expertise through strategic leadership of the Strategy Consulting business, business generation, intellectual leadership within the project and client relationship context, and coaching and development of the next generation leaders.
Project Delivery :
- Provide proactive executive leadership to case teams to support client engagement and delivery
- Identify growth opportunities with existing clients
- Act as a valued thought leader to support strategic discussions with senior-level clients beyond the scope of case work and specific business development discussions; support the development of long-term growth plans and identify potential business categories and growth strategies
Business Development :
Consistent, sustained revenue generation, leading both current and new account developmentLead the scoping, development and delivery of proposals for clientsActively own and further build a broad and diverse professional networkDevelop and maintain capability communication materials to offer deep insights, innovative solutions, and impactful product offeringsStrategic Business and Thought Leadership :
Advance internal thought leadership across functional or therapeutic areas within life sciencesProvide perspectives and updates on latest trends and direction of key industry topics to Strategy Consulting teamMentor and coach junior staff, and encourage engagement with business developmentParticipate in ongoing management and development of staffContribute to the strategic direction of the businessBe a positive contributor to management meeting discussionsCollaborate with experts across practice areas within the broader Lumanity organization to service clients and provide growth opportunities for team membersQualifications
Bachelor’s degree (required); advanced degree (preferred)18+ years experience within a life sciences consultancy with deep market access expertiseDeep understanding of biopharmaceutical R&D, patient services, and product lifecycle processes and technologiesExperience leading teams, clients, and vendors with strong mentoring and management skillsExcellent client-facing communication and interpersonal skillsExperience owning a defined portion of consulting projects and managing issues and risksExperience developing research and evaluation plans aligned with industry best practices and innovations in statistics, data science, data visualization, and data managementProven ability to manage project scopes, schedules, and budgetsStrong conceptual skills and ability to translate complex scientific, economic, and commercial data into strategic recommendationsAttention to detail; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelOccasional travel as needed for client meetings and presentationsBenefits
