We are seeking a talented and dependable Lead Line Cook for our restaurant located at 1104 W Taylor St. This position is hands-on in the kitchen while also providing leadership and guidance to the team during service.
Responsibilities :
Prepare and cook dishes to our recipes and quality standards, setting the pace and tone for the line.
Lead and support line cooks and prep staff to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
Train and coach team members on proper cooking techniques, plating, and consistency.
Monitor food quality, portioning, and presentation to maintain high standards.
Maintain food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness in all kitchen areas.
Assist with prep, inventory checks, and shift-level kitchen organization.
Communicate effectively with management about shift performance, staffing, and operational needs.
Contribute ideas for specials, prep efficiencies, and overall kitchen improvement.
Requirements :
Previous experience as a Line Cook, with leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Strong cooking skills with solid knowledge of culinary fundamentals and kitchen operations.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while balancing cooking and team oversight.
Excellent communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
A passion for food, teamwork, and hospitality.
Compensation Details
Compensation : Hourly ($21.00 – $25.00, based on experience)
