Specialist, Maintenance Sustainment Systems Engineer

Overview

Specialist, Maintenance Sustainment Systems Engineer role at L3Harris Technologies. The Specialist Systems Engineer supports clients in the management or direction of logistics support for one or more programs, including appropriate supporting organizations. The logistics system engineer provides direct support to the customer in the planning, coordinating and execution of numerous acquisition program logistics efforts for legacy and future systems as well as technical refreshes / upgrades. The logistics systems engineer will provide logistics, sustainment, and life cycle support; training; advice; and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate all logistics elements to ensure integrated logistics support requirements for the program are identified.
• Develop and support the generation and review of logistics support documentation, including Integrated Logistics Support Plans (ILSP), Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSP), Life Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA), Provisioning Parts Lists (PPL), Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA), maintenance plans, support equipment recommendation data (SERD), and other logistics supportability analyses (LSA).
• Conduct logistics analyses and assessments such as supportability analysis, Level of Repair Analysis, spare parts range and depth, DMSMS, and risk assessments.
• Analyze system lifecycle costs, sustainability, and plan for obsolescence, upgrades, or disposal.
• Utilize ILS tools and software to track logistics data, monitor system performance, and generate reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with project engineers, design engineers, program managers, and customers to integrate logistics considerations into system design.
• Obtain and maintain any security clearances, status or licenses required by the client to perform work.
• Apply Earned Value Management System techniques and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Travel up to 10% of the time to support off-site program meetings.
