Position Overview
As a Paralegal with Luminary Partners, you will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys and ensuring the smooth operation of our legal practice. Your attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and ability to adapt quickly will be essential in assisting with various legal tasks. Your proficiency in computer applications, familiarity with office suite tools, and strong communication abilities will contribute to maintaining our high standards of client service and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with drafting, revising, and finalizing a wide variety of legal documents, correspondence, and client communications.
- Collaborate with team members to support the creation and execution of estate planning and entity formation / governance documents.
- Draft, edit, and proofread letters, memos, contracts, and other legal documents with precision and accuracy.
- Utilize notary skills, when applicable, to authenticate and certify legal documents.
- Track time spent on tasks and generating invoices in accordance with firm policies.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date client files, databases, and records.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to assist attorneys.
- Provide administrative support by managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings.
- Liaise between clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and ensure exceptional client service.
- Assist with general office tasks, such as answering phones, responding to emails, and managing office supplies.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.Previous experience working in a law firm, governmental agency, or legal department of a large company.Familiarity with estate planning documents, corporate governance, real estate documents, and similar legal practice areas is a plus.Experience in drafting legal documents, letters, and memos is preferred.Notary certification is a plus.Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.Well-organized and capable of maintaining orderly client files and databases.Quick learner with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.Strong work ethic and willingness to contribute to a collaborative team environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Capacity to work independently and take initiative when necessary.Benefits and Perks
