General Purpose
Defines and designs systems and processes to meet business partner requirements for projects and daily support, working under the supervision of a Work Team Leader. Establishes positive relationships within IT, with business partners, and other functional areas. Uses technical expertise to define, design, and implement solutions meeting current business requirements in a single functional area. Prioritizes and completes multiple assignments simultaneously.
Essential Functions
- Estimates requests and develops point of view documents.
- Acts as liaison to multiple business units, representing their needs for functionality and system enhancements impacting the business.
- Utilizes technical expertise to define, design, and implement solutions that meet business requirements.
- Analyzes and documents current ('As-Is') and future ('To-Be') processes according to project scope.
- Prepares user stories, specifications, technical designs, acceptance criteria, and validation scenarios for system enhancements.
- Maps current and future technical architecture, obtaining required sign-offs.
- Designs databases, develops technical specifications, and determines unit testing criteria.
- Reviews project implementation strategies with business partners.
- Assesses impact, identifies contingency plans, and creates conversion specifications.
- Supports software development and testing.
- Collaborates with business partners to document processes and develop training materials.
- Maintains user acceptance testing environment, data needs, and refresh schedules, coordinating with infrastructure personnel.
- Monitors user acceptance testing, logs issues, and coordinates with the development team.
- Prepares and coordinates cutover plans and schedules with infrastructure team.
- Converts and validates data, participates in training, and completes documentation.
- Develops software selection criteria and leads the selection process.
- Performs additional responsibilities as needed to meet business objectives.
Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, typically at least five years in an IT environment. Must have a minimum of five years of professional experience in information systems, understanding hardware, software, and development methodologies.
Skills and Abilities
Broad understanding of business processes, information flow, and systems.Ability to view opportunities from a long-term perspective.Capability to work independently, as part of a team, and lead small to medium projects.Proficiency in SQL queries, database structures, and relationships.Experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum meetings, sprint planning, and retrospectives.Successful track record in managing projects involving requirements, testing, and documentation.Excellent interpersonal skills.Knowledge of JD Edwards, Oracle EBS, or Infor ERP (LN) is a plus.Physical Demands
