This role will work closely with product managers, engineering counterparts, and other designers In the space. Theyll also collaborate with business partners in retail operations to learn more about the inner workings of our stores.
An ideal candidate should
Have a bias for action, feeling empowered to trust instincts and to make decisions that are grounded in data both qualitative and quantitative
Have a passion for process design
Quickly understand the unique challenges our associates and customers face with in-store checkout and document findings for visibility
Posses the ability to confidently facilitate workshops and collaborative sessions
Build relationships across , acting as a catalyst for collaboration
Nice to haves
Experience or familiarity working with payment systems
Technical knowledge
Experience with analytics and UX success metrics
In proximity to a store or one of its banners, to get firsthand experience in the field
Key Responsibilities
Develop user journey maps, service blueprints, and other visualizations to document the current state and future vision for our point of sale ecosystem
Identify user needs and pain points and work with stakeholders to prioritize and address them
Plan and conduct user research, involving team members and stakeholders in the process, to better understand our end-users and their problems. Visiting stores to interact with users face-to-face is a significant benefit.
Lead collaborative efforts and facilitate sessions (using different workshopping frameworks) with stakeholders to align on a shared vision
Note to Vendors
Top 3 skills : Data Visualization experience, some understanding of Power BI, strong UX / UI background
Soft Skills Needed : strong presenter, strong communicator and researcher
Project person will be supporting : reporting and insights within merchandising
Team details ie. size, dynamics, locations : offshore developers, PM is local,, tech lead who is also local
Work Location (in office, hybrid, remote) : strongly prefers BTC but is open to other hub cities as a last resort
Is travel required : If any, minimal, maybe once a year
Required Working Hours : EST
