Job Summary : Responsible for greeting and welcoming patients in person. Provides a standard registration process by collecting demographic and financial data and enter information into a electronic medical record.
Primary Responsibilities :
Greets and welcomes patients in personCollects demographic and insurance informationChecks in and interviews patients to complete the registration processObtains signatures from patients as neededDirects patient to their appointment or procedureMay assist in scheduling add-on appointmentsDocuments any issues and resolutions in electronic medical recordResolves claim issues and registration errors on patient accounts and in assigned work queuesUses resources, tools and procedures to complete registrations for complex accountsaVerifies insurance eligibility and benefits information for payers and interprets results, focusing on complex billing situationsObtains cost information and explains information to patientsCollects on patient financial obligationsHandles complex questions as neededScreening and approve patients for financial assistance programs and financial counsel as neededProvides technical or functional direction for employeesAssists patient in completion of request for information forms and submits to appropriate departmentProvide customer service for inbound and outbound telephone callsIdentifies and escalates trends to leadership related to daily site activitiesParticipates in the orientation and training of employees and provides feedback to leadershipExhibits behaviors and expectations that are consistent with leadership rolesAssists and supports team in all rolesOther duties as assigned

Required Qualifications :
2+ years of customer service experience1+ years of revenue cycle experience in a healthcare / hospital settingIntermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productsAbility to work 40 hours / week, in 8-hour shifts between the hours of 10 : 00am to 6 : 30pm Monday – FridayAbility to work every 3rd weekend and every 3rd holiday, between the hours of 7 : 00am - 11 : 30pmMust be 18 years of age or older

Experience with electronic medical records
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $20.00 to $35.72 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
