As a Principal Commerce Solution Architect, you will be at the forefront of defining and implementing robust, scalable Adobe Commerce solutions. You will lead technical strategy, architecture, and pre-sales consulting for enterprise-grade projects, ensuring alignment with client business goals and technical requirements. This role blends hands-on solution design with leadership, guiding development teams, mentoring junior architects, and driving innovation through emerging commerce technologies. You will collaborate across sales, strategy, and delivery teams, influencing decisions and shaping client engagements. Accountabilities
- Own end-to-end technical architecture for Adobe Commerce projects, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, data models, and integration specifications.
- Define and enforce development standards, best practices, and coding patterns for Adobe Commerce implementations.
- Lead technical design reviews and mentor development teams to ensure adherence to architectural vision.
- Drive innovation by staying current with industry trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies (e.g., headless commerce, AI in commerce).
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing technical consulting, solving complex problems, and presenting solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Lead pre-sales technical discovery, solutioning, and development of technical proposals, Statements of Work (SOWs), and effort estimates.
Requirements
7+ years hands-on experience with Adobe Commerce (Magento), with at least 4 years in a Solution Architect or Lead Developer role.Proven track record designing and delivering large-scale, complex eCommerce solutions.Experience in pre-sales, solution engineering, and developing technical proposals.Deep knowledge of Adobe Commerce Cloud and on-premise versions, including PHP, MySQL, Varnish, Redis, and platform architecture.Familiarity with modern DevOps, CI / CD, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure).Strong understanding of the eCommerce ecosystem, including ERP, PIM, OMS, CRM, and payment gateway integrations.Exceptional communication skills for presenting technical concepts and building credibility with clients.Preferred :
Adobe Certified Master – Adobe Commerce Architect.Experience with headless / composable commerce, GraphQL, and PWA Studio.Familiarity with Adobe Experience Cloud products (AEM, AEP, Adobe Analytics).Previous consulting or digital agency experience.Experience mentoring junior architects or technical leads.Benefits
