Ottimo Resources is hiring : Customs Entry Writer in Monterey Park

Global freight forwarding leader is seeking a Customs Entry Writer for their branch in Monterey Park, CA! Licensing is not required for this opportunity; however, we would like someone with about 2 years of experience with customs entries.

This is a full-time opportunity with benefits and room for continued growth.

Schedule :

Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM

Key Responsibilities :

• Responsible for day-to-day operations relating to the handling and customs clearance of international shipments.
• Classification of shipments and preparation of entry.
• Knowledge of FDA filing and other PGAs and familiar with CBP regulations.
• Work closely and in conjunction with the Brokerage / Branch / Compliance Manager to ensure efficiency in all processes within the company and department.
• Communicate with US Customs officials and other government agencies as deemed necessary.
• Schedule pickups and deliveries on the brokerage-only files.
• Respond to internal and external (customer) requests.
• Enter shipment and billing data into operational systems.
• Assist with payment requests and customer billing as needed.
• Demonstrated stress tolerance and flexibility to changing priorities.
• Prepare and post PSC.
