This job opportunity is open for public application as a substitute.

The Ocean View School District will conduct an application screening to verify minimum qualifications (education and experience). Candidates will be required to provide a photo ID with their signature. If the written and / or performance exam is passed, a selection interview may be scheduled.

If you have already taken and passed the Instructional Assistant Competency Exam with one of the following districts, please notify the Personnel Commission staff : Ocean View School District, Huntington Beach City School District, Fountain Valley School District, Westminster School District, Newport-Mesa Unified School District, or Huntington Beach Union High School District.

Required documents include :

• Certification : Completion of 6 units of Early Learning Education or Child Development coursework from an accredited college, university, or community college.
• Proof of High School Graduation : High school diploma, high school equivalent, GED certificate, high school transcripts, college degree, or college transcripts.

Comments and Other Information :

Employees working 30 or more regularly assigned hours per week are eligible for health and welfare benefits, including a district contribution toward a cafeteria fringe benefit package. They are required to participate in employee-only medical, dental, and life insurance coverage.
