Summary

The Research Grant / Contract Specialist is responsible for monitoring the financial status of one or more grants and assisting Principal Investigators (PIs) in grant preparation. The role requires analyzing expense reports, ensuring compliance with grant guidelines, correcting accounting errors, and preparing budgets aligned with internal and external agency standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and track financial status of assigned grants
• Analyze expense reports to ensure proper allocation of grant funds
• Collaborate with external departments to identify and correct accounting discrepancies
• Assist Principal Investigators in preparing research grant applications and budgets
• Ensure all budget proposals comply with applicable funding agency and internal guidelines
• Utilize Excel or similar tools for tracking and reporting purposes
