Northrop Grumman is currently seeking an experienced Manager, General Manufacturing 1 for our Northridge, CA location. Put your skills to the test by pushing the boundaries of what's possible. Responsibilities :
Responsible for daily operations of a team or work unit including direct supervision of the staff, assignment of work, schedules, and operating costs.
Program Manager responsibilities include cost, schedule, and technical performance of a specific unit or work package on a large system development-type contract.
Provides direction to subordinates using established policies and precedents.
Supervisory or management responsibilities for more than one functional area in the Manufacturing and Production job family.
Knowledge and Technical Skills :
Full working knowledge of procedures and practices.
Decision Making related to daily work responsibilities.
Monitors work operations of exempt and / or non-exempt employees and provides direction as required.
Policy Involvement :
Executes department procedures that typically affect individual employees within own department.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or GED equivalent and 10 Years of applicable Manufacturing Experience. Will also consider Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of Manufacturing Experience or MS degree and 4 years of applicable experience.
Experience working in a DoD Contract environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead people and teams.
Ability to provide direction to determine priorities to achieve goals.
Ability to comprehend and analyze problems and develop solutions.
Ability to spend at least 75% of time on the Manufacturing Floor.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience as a Manufacturing Lead or Supervisor.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing.
Experience with 5S.
Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site in Northridge, CA. No remote / telework arrangement is available for this position.
Salary Range : $97,600 - $146,400
