About The Position
The Customer Payment Specialist is responsible for the support of the non-lockbox (manual / paper-based) payment options for Ameren customers. This includes, but is not limited to pay agents, ACH, credit / debit card, third-party billers.
Key responsibilities include :
Qualifications
High school graduate or the equivalent required. Six (6) semester credit hours of accounting classes from an accredited university or college required. Three or more years' experience working with a customer service system required. Three or more years' accounts receivable and / or billing experience also required.
In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate :
Proficiency with Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint); and the following Ameren competencies : Think Customer, Inspire and Engage, Foster Innovation, Drive Results, Champion Learning, Build Trust, and Be Strategic.

Compensation Range :
$60,200.00 - $90,300.00
At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
