This position is reading blueprints, implementing operations on Routers, setting up and operating machines that may include CNC Mills and Lathes and manual equipment or processes at a higher challenging level of machining work.
Responsibilities :Ø Setup complex jobs, including tool and geometry offsetsOffer suggestions and / or Design and build fixtures as requiredFollow router and quality system proceduresEdit and troubleshoot new and old programsRead and interpret blueprints properlyInspect parts to verify blueprint requirements prior to first articleProperly transfer edit and save CNC programsQuickly and accurately load and unload machinesRun multiple machines when feasible and safe to do soProvide input to ensure Routers are updated properlyAbility to assist in training of Entry level MachinistPerform all duties & functions in compliance with all company safety standards.Requirements :7 years minimum Machine Shop Experience ( CNC or Manual )Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprintsUnderstanding of GD&T ( Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing )Working knowledge of G & M Codes used in CNC programming processAbility to make adjustments with MDI at CNC machine tool controlAbility to properly use common inspection equipmentGood communication skillsPositive attitudeSelf MotivatedPhysical requirements :Ability to repetitively lift 5 poundsAbility to bend, reach & stoopAbility to stand for prolonged periodsGood eyesight requiredJob Type : Full-time
