Position Overview

The Electrical Superintendent is a key leadership role responsible for the on-site management, coordination, and execution of electrical construction activities. This individual will work closely with project managers, engineers, forepersons, and tradespeople to ensure that all project requirements are met safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard of quality.

Primary Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all electrical construction activities at the job site, ensuring work is performed in accordance with project specifications, schedules, and safety protocols.
• Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of electricians, apprentices, and subcontractors, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with project managers and other superintendents to develop and maintain detailed project schedules, adjusting as necessary to address changes, delays, or unforeseen conditions.
• Interpret and apply blueprints, specifications, National Electrical Code (NEC), and local building codes to all aspects of project execution.
• Coordinate equipment, materials, and labor to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality of workmanship, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, inspectors, and other stakeholders to ensure expectations are understood and met.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical or logistical issues as they arise.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, workforce logs, and documentation related to project activities.
• Analyze project plans and specifications to anticipate potential challenges and develop proactive solutions.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, OSHA regulations, and industry safety standards.
• Participate in project meetings, safety briefings, and coordination sessions as required.
• Assist in the training and development of junior staff, fostering their growth into future leaders within the company.
