Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and manage all underwriting aspects of formal life insurance applications
  • Determine eligibility for accelerated outcomes and assess risks based on medical history and financial background
  • Communicate underwriting decisions effectively to customers and facilitate business placements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather necessary information for decision-making
  • Underwrite non-accelerated business to further develop skills

    • Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1 year of prior life insurance underwriting experience
  • Approval authority of at least $1 million
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • 4-year college degree
  • Existing approval authority greater than $1 million
  • Industry designations (i.e., ACS, ALMI, FLMI, FALU)
  • Familiarity with accelerated and non-accelerated underwriting practices
  • Demonstrated customer service mindset and critical thinking abilities
