Administrative Leadership For 24-Hour Staffing Office Operations

Primary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to :

Responsible for providing administrative leadership to the 24-hour staffing office operations

Regularly review systems and procedures and implement recommendations for improvement of the office

Generate status reports of data trends and recommend solutions

Systemize timesheet submission with managers to facilitate times sheet are submitted on intended schedule

Address attendance with supervisors / managers for subordinate staff

Lead the impending Cascade Bidding process, oversees posting information accuracy, track all changes in vacancies, track accuracy of staffing minimums

Track adherence to the Overtime Policy, including making site visits for compliance to posting of float lists, overtime rosters, accurate 28 Day work schedules on site compared to the staffing office copy

Oversee the Overtime Attestation sheet, FFDs are in place as applicable

Operationalize documents electronically shared among residences and staffing office and others as necessary

Create systemic tracking, oversight, and accountability for staff training compliance

Oversee new staff utilization, performance evals, probationary evals for residential sites

When on site check on HER entries and provide reports to support internal controls

Will serve as liaison between residential managers, residential team leaders and leadership in regard to staff utilization

Principal liaison with ERO and HR re : OIL, Administrative Leave, Bereavement, Medical Leave, etc. to ensure consistent application of agency procedures

Will serve as an Administrator on Duty (AOD) on a rotational basis

Serve on various committees inclusive of Region 5 Policy committee

May be assigned to assist with management of residential, habilitation sites when needed and under the direction of the DDPS 4and DD.

Current employee of OPWDD and one year of permanent competitive or 55 b / c service in one of the following titles and reachable for appointment on the Current Civil Service Eligible List : Chief Occupational Therapist, Chief Physical Therapist, Chief Recreation Therapist, Developmental Disabilities Program Specialist 1, Developmental Disabilities Program Specialist 1 (Spanish Language), Developmental Disabilities Program Specialist 2, Developmental Specialist 4, Head Occupational Therapist, Head Physical Therapist, Head Recreation Therapist, Licensed Psychologist, Mental Hygiene Nursing Program Coordinator, Nurse Administrator 1, Nurse Administrator 2, Nutrition Services Administrator 1, Nutrition Services Administrator 2, Social Work Supervisor 1, Speech Language Pathology Audiology Program Coordinator 1, Speech Language Pathology Audiology Program Coordinator 2, and Supervisor Rehabilitation Services.

Current employee of OPWDD and two years of permanent competitive or 55 b / c service in one of the following titles and reachable for appointment on the Current Civil Service Eligible List : Associate Psychologist, Audiologist 1, Audiologist 2, Community Mental Health Nurse, Developmental Assistant 3, Developmental Specialist 2, Developmental Specialist 3, Dietitian 2, Habilitation Specialist 2, Infection Control Nurse, Intermediate Care Facility Program Manager 1, Intermediate Care Facility Program Manager 2, Licensed Master Social Worker 1, Licensed Master Social Worker 2 (and all parenthetics), Mental Hygiene Staff Developmental Specialist 3 (Nursing), Nurse 2 (and all parenthetics), Nurse 3 (and all parenthetics), Nurse Practitioner (and all parenthetics), Physician Assistant, Psychologist 1, Psychologist 2, Rehabilitation Counselor 1, Rehabilitation Counselor 2 (and all parenthetics), Senior Occupational Therapist, Senior Physical Therapist, Senior Recreational Therapist (and all parenthetics), Senior Speech and Hearing Therapist, Social Work Assistant 3, Speech Language Pathologist 1, Speech Language Pathologist 2, Teacher 4 (and all parenthetics), Training Specialist 1 (Nursing), and Utilization Review Coordinator.

Additional comments :

Please note that starting salary for this title reflects the Downstate adjustment. Posted Hiring Salary includes the sum of the statutory hiring rate for M / C Grade M-1 ($93,659) and Downstate Adjustment ($4,000). Downstate Adjustment is also added to the job rate ($118,388).

If you are currently a New York State employee serving in a permanent competitive qualifying title and eligible for a transfer via Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law, you may be appointed to this title as a permanent competitive employee.
