Civil Engineer (Pomona)

Job Title : Civil Engineer

Duration : 18 Months

Location : Pomona, CA (Hybrid - 2 days onsite)

Pay Range : $90 / Hr to $110 / Hr on W2

Education Requirement : Bachelors Degree (Preferred : Masters degree in Civil Engineering)

Required Skills / Attributes :

CA PE License Needed

• Technical Leadership : Lead civil engineering efforts across all project phases scoping, design, cost estimation, scheduling, and construction support.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with internal teams (project management, construction, environmental, real estate) and external agencies.
• Field Engagement : Conduct job walks and provide engineering construction support across diverse geographical areas for Transmission, Substation and Distribution facilities. Can be 12 field days per week based on business need.
• Contractor Oversight : Manage civil engineering consultants define scopes, review proposals, ensure quality, and maintain schedules.
• Quality Assurance : Perform QA for consultant deliverables, peer reviews, manage purchase orders, and approve invoices.
• Permitting & Compliance : Secure necessary permits and approvals from local jurisdiction agencies for civil engineering scope and work with business partners to support state, federal and other agency approvals
• Project Management : Balance multiple project schedules, provide technical leadership for civil engineering scope, monitor budgets, and provide proactive communication with key stakeholders.
• Safety : Embed safety into engineering designs and promote a safety-first culture both in the office and on-site.
