LVN School Nurse - School Setting & Weekly pay!!

The 1 : 1 School LPN / LVN identifies and treats healthdisorders among students in the school setting. The 1 : 1 School LPN / LVN providesinstruction for the student's general wellbeing and disease prevention. TheSchool LPN / LVN monitors the student's physical conditions in the school settingand refers the student to appropriate resources as needed. The work of the School LPN / LVN is performedin compliance with his / her LPN / LVN scope of practice and according to stateeducation codes.

Minimum Requirements :

• Current LPN / LVN license for the state in which the nursepractices
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray
• One year prior professional nursing experience in schoolsetting preferred
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Current BLS card
• Considerable knowledge of medical disorders and treatment
• Considerable knowledge of child growth and development
• Some knowledge of public health problems and procedures fortreatment in coordination with other health and social service agencies
• Some knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws andregulations affecting the delivery of school health services
• Understands the school organization and the community served
• Must be at least 18 years of age
