job_description.job_card.job_descriptionWork closely with cross functional members of the engineering organization to develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, and operational performance requirements and design of the overall system. Support and participate in all phases of the hardware / software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and test. Develop test procedures and related test report documentation. Utilize modeling tools and equipment to acquire operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results. Participate in peer reviews, identify, track and repair defects. Utilize a variety of software languages, including VHDL, MATLAB and C / C++. Familiarity with Linux highly preferred. Support process improvements to aid in team coordination and maintain delivery schedule. Communicate with leadership on status, issues, milestones, and successes. Must be capable of working with a minimum of supervision. Able to work simultaneously on a variety of projects. BS in Electrical Engineering with a GPA of 3.0+ from an accredited state university or equivalent institution is required. MS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university is preferred. 4-8 years of experience. Proficient in MATLAB and C / C++ is highly preferred. Familiarity with signal processing is highly preferred. Good analytical skills. Strong written and verbal communications skills. Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results. Familiarity with Microsoft Office products. Ability and desire to learn new skills.
