Overview
Maintenance Supervisor — We're seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead a skilled crew of leads and mechanics across all shifts. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong background in machinery maintenance and team leadership.
Responsibilities
- Leadership & Oversight : Supervise leads and maintenance technicians across multiple shifts; Coordinate daily tasks and approve weekly timekeeping; Ensure compliance with SOPs for preventative maintenance; Report directly to the Maintenance Manager.
- Daily Operations : Prepare production lines for optimal daily performance; Oversee and assist with equipment changeovers and setups; Conduct inspections, emergency repairs, and routine adjustments; Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready maintenance shop.
- Technical Expertise : Troubleshoot and repair machinery including fillers, conveyors, motors, pumps, and blending systems; Work with pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems; Use diagnostic tools such as voltmeters to identify equipment issues; Read and interpret manuals, schematics, and construction drawings; Analyze downtime reports to prevent future breakdowns.
- Preventative Maintenance : Schedule and perform disassembly, cleaning, calibration, and reassembly; Complete work orders and log corrective maintenance accurately; Maintain inventory of replacement parts and technical documentation.
- Safety & Quality : Ensure product protection from contamination during maintenance; Promote safety standards and quality control across all tasks; Maintain and grow positive relationships with vendors; Expand vendor network to support operational needs.
- Skills & Knowledge : Broad understanding of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, pneumatic, and combustion systems; Strong coordination and communication skills; Ability to identify innovative solutions to recurring problems.
Qualifications
Hands-on maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial settingStrong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, pneumatic, and combustion systemsExperience with equipment changeovers, preventive maintenance, and root-cause analysisAbility to read manuals, schematics, and construction drawings; proficient in using diagnostic toolsExcellent communication, planning, and organizational skillsEqual Opportunity Statement
