Description
Will-Mor Manufacturing, a precision CNC Manufacturing company in the Seacoast area, is looking for an experienced Quality Inspector . We specialize in complex work in the Defense and Aerospace industries.
The Quality Inspector’s primary responsibilities include the first piece, in-process, and final inspection of complex components. Performs inspection and quality control procedures concerning purchased material, in-process material, and finished products to ensure that quality control standards and manufacturing specifications are maintained and achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming materials and components utilizing visual and mechanical tools.
- Provide in-process inspection of each production process, perform a documentation audit for completeness, and ensure that work instructions are being followed.
- Complete finished product inspection before release to shipping.
- Use a variety of conventional and advanced inspection devices to verify dimensions to drawing specifications.
- Support and promote continuous improvement initiatives to meet business objectives.
- May be assigned to carry out tasks, not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individuals’ skills.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
Zeiss CMM with set up and programming experience required.Experience in inspecting precision parts is required.Proficiency in all basic surface plate inspection methods and the ability to work with limited supervision.Knowledge of various types of metals, including castings and forgings.Experience building gauges and other instruments to verify dimensions.Working knowledge and skills in geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).Proficient at reading and understanding blueprints, sketches, and detailed parts specifications.The inspector must be proficient in basic computer applications.Must possess strong communication skills.Benefits
