Safety Engineer

Overview

Conti Civil is on the lookout for a motivated and safety-minded individual to join our team as a Safety Engineer . This role is designed for someone who is passionate about building a career in safety within the civil construction industry. As part of our team, you\'ll play a key role in promoting and ensuring the health and safety of our employees on project sites. You will be immersed in our Safety, Health, and Environmental Program, gaining hands-on experience while being supported by a dedicated safety department of experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and updating the Site Safety and Health Plan (SSHP) under the guidance of senior safety staff.
• Learn and help enforce compliance with safety and health requirements, including federal, state, and local laws, OSHA regulations, and Conti Civil's safety standards.
• Support the implementation of safety procedures and policies, encouraging a culture of safety among all team members, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Participate in safety orientations and training sessions, helping to organize and deliver content as your experience grows.
• Assist with daily safety inspections and contribute to maintaining PPE inventory and safety equipment.
• Support senior staff in accident / injury investigations and in the preparation of reports and recommendations for corrective action.
• Engage in safety meetings and planning sessions, offering input and learning best practices in safety management.
