Overview
Responsible for maintaining operational status of Intel-based desktop computer hardware and software.
Responsibilities
- Installs and supports PC hardware, PC operating system software and PC software packages
- Assists users with PC, network, and phone problems (hardware and software)
- Orders and installs PC peripheral equipment
- Assists Network Analyst with project management, resource planning and system monitoring and troubleshooting
- Develops and maintains documentation
- Continually searches for ways to improve processes or reduce costs
- Keeps up to date and assesses computer technology trends by maintaining affiliations with successful companies who practice effective desktop management, attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional associations
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education & Experience :
Two-year degree in networking, technology, business, or related field is preferredAt least 2 years of PC troubleshooting experienceSkills and Abilities :
Must have strong PC hardware / software knowledgeStrong time management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities at onceAbility to communicate effectively and establish effective working relationshipsAbility to effectively troubleshoot and strong problem-solving skillsSelf motivated and able to work with minimal supervisionStrong service orientation and customer service skillsEEO
