Security Officer Unarmed Retail Patrol Specialist

As a Security Officer Unarmed Retail Patrol Specialist in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a retail environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and promote a secure atmosphere for customers and staff. Your presence will be highly visible as you conduct routine patrols and provide exceptional customer service, supporting a welcoming experience for everyone at the location. Pay Rate : $30.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Monday 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Tuesday 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Friday 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Saturday 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Sunday 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding appropriately to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the location and its occupants.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to Allied Universal management and / or local authorities as directed.
  • Assist visitors, customers, and staff with inquiries or directions while maintaining a visible presence within the location.
  • Follow all post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal and the client to maintain a secure environment.
  • Complete required documentation and reports related to patrols, incidents, and daily activities.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
