Cyber Security Analyst, Local Chicago OR ATX (Hoffman Estates)

Cyber Security Analyst plays a crucial role in protecting the organization's information systems and data from cyber threats. While regular working hours are defined, this is a position that requires participation in an on-call rotation with other team members.

Bachelors or Associates degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Professional certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), GIAC GCIH (Certified Incident Handler, CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), or CompTIA Security+. Other certifications a plus such as CISM (ISACA Certified Information Security Manager)

Experience with endpoint protection (e. g. Defender), email security, and SIEM platforms.

Experience with cloud security practices and response is essential.

Applied knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, and other security frameworks.

Understanding of networking principles and technologies like firewalls, VPNs, proxies, VPCs, and IDS / IPS.

Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
