As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol the educational location, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Position Type : Part Time

Pay Rate : $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule :

Day Time Thur 04 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Fri 04 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within the educational environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing armed patrol protocols as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and / or activities.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and / or hazards according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Collaborate with staff, students, and visitors to provide assistance and information as needed while maintaining a visible presence.
  • Participate in drills and / or training sessions relevant to the educational location and armed patrol responsibilities.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and / or regulations.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
