Proficient with mechanical tools and equipment, including torque wrenches, calipers, and hoists. Familiarity with industrial components such as motors, gearboxes, belts, and pneumatic / hydraulic systems. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and teamwork. Experience in the food processing equipment industry. Knowledge of sanitary design and food safety standards. Forklift certification or experience operating overhead cranes.
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Assembler to join our manufacturing team. This role involves the mechanical assembly of large-scale industrial food processing machines. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing motors, gearboxes, belts, and hoses, and must be proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical blueprints and schematics.
Hours 6 : 00am-2 : 30 Mon-Fri with expectation of overtime to 4 : 00pm and Saturdays 6 : 00-1pm as needed.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assemble industrial food processing equipment according to engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Install and align motors, gearboxes, belts, pulleys, and hoses with precision and care.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment to position and secure components.
- Perform mechanical adjustments and calibrations to ensure proper machine function.
- Conduct quality checks and troubleshoot mechanical issues during and after assembly.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to resolve design or assembly issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
- Document assembly processes and report any discrepancies or improvements.
