MCI has a career opportunity available for a successful Commercial HVAC Service Manager. This person will work with owners, other managers and staff to oversee, schedule, and continue building the HVAC Service Department to effectively support MCI customers.
_Responsibilities and Duties : _
- To oversee the hiring, firing and discipline needs to the employees in the service department.
- Provide wage and performance reviews of employees in the department.
- Lead weekly safety meetings.
- Approve vacation and other requested for time off based on current workloads.
- Schedule manpower with the dispatcher daily and manage material and equipment needs.
- Quality control of installations and service work.
- Help establish educational programs and classes on related topics.
- Estimating, submit, and follow up on service repair jobs and PM.
- Estimating the labor and materials of the service portion of large and small projects.
- Inventory control for service fleet and main stock.
- Provide Technical Support for Service Technicians and MCI team.
- Provide in the field technical support and training.
- Review / approve billing of the service department and the related materials and labor.
- Manage PM’s and other service contracts.
- Provide supervision of tool purchases by service technicians and prioritize what tools to purchase.
- Serve on MCI Safety Committee.
- Serve as part of the MCI management team to facilitate the values and growth of the company within the team and to external stakeholders.
- Provide top notch customer service and communication across all internal and external parties.
- Additional duties as assigned.
_Qualifications : _
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Successfully completed HVAC apprenticeship program / trade school.
- Journey person or higher Mechanical / HVAC License.
- 5 years of field experience with service work on commercial HVAC / R equipment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and other software.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills (customers and coworkers).
- Great attitude and a willingness to learn.
