job_description.job_card.job_descriptionProvide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism. Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity. Monitor for unusual activity or security-related concerns, and report observations according to established protocols. Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances and / or unauthorized access within the location. Work closely with Allied Universal management and local law enforcement as needed to address incidents and security-related concerns. Complete detailed incident reports and logs in accordance with company and site-specific requirements. Remain alert and prepared to act in a security-related capacity while carrying assigned equipment and / or firearms as required by the post profile. Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Be at least 21 years of age. Possess an armed guard card or license as required by state and / or local laws and regulations. Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, or baton is preferred. CPR certification is preferred. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only. Job Description
As a Security Professional - Armed Patrol 21+ Full-Time in Washington, DC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.
As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, providing a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct thorough patrols, respond to incidents as needed, and interact professionally with staff and visitors to deliver exceptional customer service. Upholding our values of agility, reliability, teamwork, and integrity, you will play a key role in creating a secure and welcoming environment for everyone on site. What You'll Do :
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
