Overview of the Role :

The Operations Consultant I is responsible for managing a portfolio of clinically integrated multi-specialty practices and driving overall performance results.

Primary Job Duties :

• Manage and own a portfolio of partner physician practices.
• Serve as the point of contact for care centers and provide routine updates related to the partnership.
• Partner with physician owners on strategic planning & execution (VBC & FFS performance, growth, succession planning).
• Collaborate with Privia VBC and physician leadership to drive care transformation.
• Track and manage metrics related to finance, revenue cycle, productivity, clinical performance, value-based care, and customer experience.
• Review data, share best practices, and coach Care Center teams on strategies for success in value-based care agreements.
• Drive growth and operational improvements within physician practices.
• Facilitate development and implementation of action plans aligned with strategic goals.
• Review reports and data with practices to maintain transparency and drive performance.
• Develop presentation materials to communicate initiative statuses.
• Evaluate and re-engineer workflow to enhance efficiency.
• Mentor and coach practice administrators.
• Coordinate with company resources to meet Care Center needs and ensure timely delivery.
• Manage expectations regarding timeframes and services.
• Assist in developing strategies to enhance growth, performance, and revenue.
• Coordinate and present at physician meetings.
• Evaluate practice operations and provide strategic feedback.
• Stay informed on healthcare topics and share relevant information.
• Develop expertise in key software platforms like athenaHealth's systems.
• Provide excellent customer service to physician practices.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation, statutory, and regulatory standards.
• Support transition of practices from Fee-For-Service to risk-based reimbursement models.
• Implement and communicate new Privia initiatives.
• Lead, coach, and provide feedback to team members to improve performance.
• Oversee, mentor, and coach Performance Associates.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred; Healthcare Master's or MBA highly preferred.

5+ years healthcare experience, especially working with physicians and medical staff.

Proficiency in financial data interpretation and explanation.

Ability to work independently, build cases for change, and exercise sound judgment.

Experience in project management, juggling multiple projects and urgent deliverables.

Understanding of Population Health Management and risk-based contracts.

Reliable transportation and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Interpersonal Skills & Attributes :

Ability to have honest conversations with physicians, maintain effective relationships, communicate ideas clearly, and respond calmly under pressure.

Positive attitude and customer-focused approach.

Additional Information

Salary range : $80,000 to $95,000, plus bonuses and benefits. Salary depends on experience, education, and location.
