About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse - Emergency Room / Med Surg

Hours per Shift : 36 hours per week

Experience : Minimum 2 years

License : Required

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NRP

Must-Have :

• 2 years RN experience in an emergency room and medical-surgical setting.
• BLS and ACLS certification required prior to start.
• TNCC preferred.
• 6 months of medical-surgical experience in the past year.
• 6 months of emergency room experience in the past year.
• Ability to function independently in the emergency room and manage up to 5 patients in a medical-surgical unit.

Description :

Candidates must be able to badge in and out of the facility.

Floating between emergency room and medical-surgical unit is required.

Work includes every other weekend and holiday.

Three call shifts are required within a 13-week contract.

The typical nurse-to-patient ratio in medical-surgical is 3 to 4 patients, depending on census and acuity.

Dress code requires navy scrubs without logos, with white scrubs or lab coats permitted underneath.

Training includes EPIC computer training, one day of emergency room training, and one day of medical-surgical training.

Cancellation policy allows clients to cancel up to 12 hours every 13 weeks.

The environment is acute care.

The role involves participation in a trauma level setting.
